Valhalla resident John Pacor was arraigned this week on charges claiming that he stole $93,955 from the Pleasant Ridge Homeowners Association, where he lives with his wife and children.
According to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., Pacor’s wife is a former president of the Homeowners Association, and his mother acted as treasurer. According to the felony complaint, between November 2012 and April 2014, Pacor deposited 51 checks from the Pleasant Ridge Homeowners Association into his own checking account for his own purposes.
In August last year, members of the Homeowners Association discovered the theft and a complaint was filed from the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Pacor surrendered to police on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and was charged with a felony count of grand larceny. Following his processing, he was released and is due back in Mount Pleasant Court on Nov. 15 to answer the charge.
